Testify Inducted To Louisiana Gospel Music Hall of Fame

The Louisiana Gospel Music Hall of Fame will have its first induction ceremony on Oct. 22 at Pentecostals of the Twin Cities in West Monroe at 7pm. Bob Terry, a member of the hall of fame board of directors, said the time has come for the wealth of gospel groups, musicians and radio and TV hosts to be officially recognized in the community. Testify In Revival With Steve Hale

Valley Baptist Church in Searcy, AR is hosting a revival featuring Steve Hale as the Evangelist and Testify leading in Worship. Services will be held on Sunday the 28th at 8:00 and 10:30 a.m. as well as at 6:00 p.m. Evening services are scheduled Monday through Wednesday with a start time of 7:00 p.m. There will also be a noon service with a meal during the day (M-W). Concert At First Baptist Clinton, AR Postponed

Due to inclement weather, in Central Arkansas all services at First Baptist Clinton, AR are cancelled for Sunday January 31, 2010. Testify was scheduled to perform FBC Clinton's music service Sunday morning and was scheduled to perform a full concert Sunday night. FBC Clinton has promptly rescheduled Testify's Concert for February 21, 2010.

Bonita Road Baptist Church and Super Bowl XLIV

The start time for Testify's Concert at Bonita Road BC Bastrop, LA on February 7, 2010 has been moved up to 4PM. In honor of The New Orleans Saints Super Bowl appearance, the earlier start time will give other churches the opportunity to attend the concert and give everyone a chance to catch the biggest game in Louisiana history. A “Who’s Who list” of Southern Baptist pastors, evangelists and leaders will be among the lineup of speakers for the 2010 Arkansas Baptist State Conference on Evangelism and Church Growth, January 25-26 at First Church of Sherwood. Speakers are: John Bisagno, retired pastor of the 22,000-member First Baptist Church of Houston; Claude King, discipleship specialist for LifeWay Christian Resources and author of numerous books and discipleship courses including Experience God and The Mind of Christ; Ronnie Floyd, pastor of First Church of Springdale and The Church at Pinnacle Hills of Rogers; Bill Stafford, evangelist from Chattanooga, Tenn.; Alvin Reed, professor of evangelism and student ministry at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C.; David Hankins, executive director of the Louisiana Baptist Convention; and Robert Smith, professor of Christian preaching at Beeson Divinity School, Birmingham, Ala.
Testify, a gospel trio from West Monroe, La., will lead the conference music and present a concert Monday evening. The trio has been featured at the Southern Baptist Convention annual meeting, Gaither Homecoming events and numerous churches nationwide.

Testify will be appearing at Gospel Music USA.The 24th annual Gospel Music USA is scheduled for January 5-7 in Jefferson City at the Capitol Plaza Hotel. Don't miss this fun-filled weekend in Jefferson City, enjoyable for everyone in the family. Friday the concert starts at 7:30 p.m., Saturday at 1 and 7:30 p.m. and Sunday at 9:30 a.m. Admission is $10 on Friday, $12 on Saturday (day and night concert), $10 for Saturday night only, $6 for Sunday, $22 for a 3 day pass. Brent Hospitalization Update

We can’t say thank you enough for the outpouring of prayers that have been spoken on Brent’s behalf. He is well tonight & in good spirits. Today, on the other hand, proved to be a struggle for Brent. He had a severe migraine headache & fever 102.2 After several hours, the fever broke & he felt much better. The internal medicine doctor made rounds this morning & informed us that thus far all of the test results have been negative. A few more test were ordered & completed today. We are awaiting those results & waiting for Dr. Crider’s arrival back in town. We are anxious to know what is going on & our prayer is that Dr. Crider will have some answers for us on Monday.

Birth Announcement From Brent

Brent proudly announces the birth of his first born, Elijah Allen Swanner. Elijah was born on Friday, November 14, 2008 at 4:20 a.m. He weighed 8 pounds 9 ounces & 20 inches long.

Revival in Paragould, AR

Testify had the great privilege of leading music at a revival at East Side Baptist in Paragould, AR last week. It was exciting time! We got to perform our new music and the people really responded to it well. The evangelist was Sonny Tucker and he challenged us all week on how to be a more effective church at reaching people for Christ. It was an incredible time! The staff at the church, Pastor Jason Noel, and others were awesome to work with. They have a heart for the lost and has a vision to grow their church for the kingdom of God. We look forward to joining them again in the near future.

Hello from Ohio

Testify is returning from a trip to Buckeye country...the great state of Ohio! As usual our trip was a great one! It was a long trip but very enjoyable. The folks we met were very gracious and kind. We were in the town of Lima at two great churches, First Assembly and Union Chapel. The concerts were great and spirit filled and as always our prayer is that people will leave our concerts changed. We feel like this happened.

Hurricane Gustav Update From Brent

Rain…Rain…Rain!!! Thankfully that is about all we got around here in West Monroe, LA. Monday afternoon we began to feel the effects of Hurricane Gustav. We got a lot of rain & gusty winds that caused some power outages. Through it all, our families faired very well! Kenneth lost power at his house for a day & we were all without the conveniences of cable and internet for most of the day yesterday. But, that is such a small price to pay for everyone’s safety. Today, everyone is pretty much back to life as normal. Thanks for all the prayers!
